{Tag: Ted} Staying Hidden Meechay stared over the milling crowds, scanning it carefully. So far he hadn’t seen any other Pupa around, from what he’d been able to observe it didn’t appear that many of them used it apart from the kids and there weren’t many of them around. At least he’d managed to get inside at last, getting past the spaceport was difficult enough. The ID system was really well implemented, although it seemed that the Pupa’s criminal records hadn’t been passed on yet so as long as he didn’t come across any of his species he would be able to get through this. Maybe even enough to find out what happened to Marie. His eyes were suddenly downcast, remembering the last time he’d seen her. The sadness he’d seen in her eyes, the betrayal… No, he couldn’t keep thinking like that. He needed to learn if Marie and the kids were safe… then continue his work getting rid of the Nightmares. Slowly he moved out of the alley and began to walk among the people, his hat tipped downwards to shadow his eyes while he walked through the crowds. At least the numbers should give him some good cover.

Ted was running in the crowd, dodging people and bags, carefully avoiding to bump into every kind of aliens too big for him or just the scary type. It wasn't his fault if Ted was late, his curfew was over in a hour or so and then who would hear his mother?! She didn't like latecomers, especially on delicate themes like his curfew! He was just about to turn a corner when Ted bumped into someone, making them both fall on the floor. "I'm sorry!" Ted turned immediately to the stranger, massaging his head.

Meechay had been checking the area, trying to spot any Pupa, so he didn’t see whoever just bumped into him. Sitting up from the fall, Meechay noticed his hat had fallen off and replaced it, before turning to see who had run into him. His eyes stared at the boy, tilting his head slightly. The boy looked… different. The shape was vaguely like that of a Pupa but the color was different and looked… softer for lack of a better word. Still, he was clearly just a child, probably no older than Mack. He stood up slowly, his eyes never leaving the boy. His hand moved slightly and, seemingly out of nowhere, a sheet of paper appeared hovering before him with a single line of words written on them.
ARE YOU ALRIGHT?
Meechay held his hand out to the boy to help him up, never blinking once as he just waited patiently for a response.
